Fundraising Opportunity

Hello Band Parents,

I know you probably think we just ended school and its too early to start fundraising for the fall, but, it is never too early for the sweepstakes award winning Tiger Pride. I already sent out a email about the Expo Square, but, I don't think we had the new email list for freshmen parents. So, here it is.

The Expo Square has events almost every weekend and we can work the concession areas there and earn money for our children going to the Alamo Bowl. This is a great fundraiser with big profits available. The more people we have the more concession areas we can have.

How it works:

The booths that we work we get 10% of the profit. We work 4 hour shifts and we get free admission to the event that is taking place. (Tulsa State Fair) just an example. We have to wear navy blue shirt with no writing on it and khaki pants, shorts, or capris. Shoes must be closed toe. You have to be at least 16 to work. If the group fails to provide the specific number of members or does not show up then we are deducted that from our profits. You have to be there 30 minutes prior to booth opening if you open booth. Hair must be pulled back and tied. We are also responsible for cleaning the work area after the event is over. We are paid on a monthly basis.

Our first event we are working is the Drysdale Super Show Heartland National May 30-June 1. Its Friday, Sat, and Sun. starting at 6:30 am. If you are interested in this event let me know. Last year they profited very well, Fri. $1500 Sat. $3800 Sun. $1400.

Our next event will be June 6th -June 8th Leake Auto Show and Auction. We would like to have as many people as possible so we can have more than one concession. This is a big money maker. Check your calenders and let me know.
